A Range of Motion Body Work  sesson can be experienced in a couple of different ways... 

   

If we're working on restricted movement, I will be rocking your body - checking range of motion, finding the tension pattern and working with the body to release the pattern.  It's painless work and so people generally just feel their body letting go and relaxing. 
 
If our focus is to clear stress and create calm and relaxation, I will be gently pulsing all the joints from head to toe - all the finger joints, the elbow, shoulder...    Some say it feels like meditation in motion or a form of passive tai chi - very, very relaxing.

While clearing the body of pain, stress and inflammation, the gentle rhythm of pulsing joints and compressing strained muscles rocks people into a deeply relaxed state.  
 
                          Mmmm..  Take a deep breath and enjoy!

 

 



For Range of Motion Body Work,
it's best to wear something loose and comfortable - something easy to move around in like sweats or light weight pants and a cotton T-shirt.

Range of Motion Body Work  is an interactive bodywork.  During the session I'll be checking on the pressure I'm using to see that it's comfortable and brings no pain.  Since the focus is to be working with the body vs. against it, pain would be an indicator of working against it.

At the end of the sessionI also like to teach self-care techniques specific for your situation along with acupressure points and meridian stretches.
